This cake is so tasty, and even better the next day!! Bear with me while I say that it is dense, yet light. I am not usually so ambiguous with descriptions, but what I mean is that it is a substantial cake (moreso than angel food cake) that is both light and moist. My husband said it is a great breakfast bread (not to mention he did not know it was dairy-free, and loved it!), and I said it was like a giant muffin! The walnut crumb topping is a nice texture transition and fun topper. Get your omega 3s and fiber/fruit serving at once with this cake. Refrigeration is not required for this cake, but recommended after one day to preserve freshness. One 8" round cake. Vegan-friendly.

Deep and slightly pungent flavors of Carolina-grown organic whole wheat and rye are pronounced and topped with aromatic and antioxidant-packed caraway and dill seed. When I used to make this bread for a local open-air farmers market, I could always count on seeing RoseMarie, returning for her loaf or two of Bavarian Rye-- one for herself, one for her daughter. It thrills me to bake for all of you, all of my customers. But let's be real-- when a German woman approves of your German-inspired bread you feel a certain kind of humility and gratefulness, even awe at the connection of old world practices, the long-standing profession of the Baker, other times, other places, nostalgia and nourishment, and how all of these things can be awakened by one handmade loaf of bread.

(Wood spoon and microfiber cloth included.) Oil Cleansing Method fans know the power of “like dissolves like,” so we take this concept to the next level with our Tallow Cleansing Balm! Tallow is especially beneficial because of its bio-identical properties that closely match the oils on our own face. It makes sense then that tallow is the primary oil in this product. We infuse our Grassfed Tallow with organic flowers and lemon peel for a pleasing cleansing blend that’s perfect for all skin types. We add a small amount of hydrogenated castor oil to create a solubilizing effect. This means that this balm rinses away quicker and more cleanly, making the Oil Cleansing ritual a more user-friendly process for the less patient. Directions: Scoop out a quarter sized amount of Cleansing Balm and massage onto facial skin with circular strokes. Wet the microfiber cloth (included in kit) with hot, steamy water and lay it over face. Relax and allow the cloth to cool. Wet the cloth again and wipe away the oil, taking care not to scrub. Your face will be left soft and moisturized. No need to follow with anything at all -- simply allow your skin to rest.
